Career outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Master of Public Health, you will have a broad scope of roles available to you. You will be well equipped to work in a range of public health roles within government or private sectors, as well as in not-for-profit organisations. Disciplines may include areas such as environmental health, epidemiology, health education, health policy, and health promotion.

Program structure
UTS Online’s Master of Public Health course comprises 12 online subjects and can be completed in as little as two years.
This course allows you to tailor your studies and transform your career goals, by selecting from a diverse range of electives and majors that align to your expertise and interests in public health.
Choose to major in data analytics, sub-major in leadership, or customise your pathway without a major and select from advanced electives that span data analytics, leadership and health services management.

What you will study
The Master of Public Health comprises 12 online subjects (72 credit points (CP) in total) - eight core subjects and four electives. You have the option to follow one of the listed specialisation pathways, or you may choose to study a general pathway with no major, and select four additional electives to comprise the total amount of credit points required for this course.
You also have the option to study the Graduate Certificate in Public Health or the Graduate Diploma in Public Health, separately.
The UTS Online Graduate Certificate in Public Health consists of four subjects (24 CP), and offers specialisation pathways in Communicable Disease or Health Analytics.

Students undertaking the masters course must complete all core study periods and select from four additional electives, with consideration of credit points. Alternatively, complete all eight core study periods to achieve 48 credit points and graduate with a Graduate Diploma in Public Health.

This major provides you with critical knowledge that public health practitioners and health researchers need concerning epidemiology, biostatistics, qualitative research and visual analytics.
