FEE-HELP Loan

FEE-HELP is a loan scheme provided by the Australian Government to assist eligible students with their university fees. It can cover all or part of your tuition costs, and repayment is made through the tax system once your income exceeds a designated threshold.

You are eligible for FEE-HELP if you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa and reside in Australia while studying.

However, New Zealand citizens and holders of other types of permanent visas are not eligible for this scheme.

FEE-HELP is a government loan scheme assisting Australian Citizens, current or previous Humanitarian visa holder and eligible New Zealand citizen to pay their tuition fees.

Students can apply with their tax file number and unique student identifier (USI) during the acceptance and will automatically eligible for FEE-HELP if they have sufficient HELP balance.

You will begin to repay a percentage of your loan, which will be determined based on your income and circumstances.

Learn more about the FEE HELP on the Australian Government Study Assist website.

Your previous studies or employment experience can be acknowledged as credit towards your online postgraduate studies, provided that it meets the relevant course requirements.

If you receive a UTS offer of enrolment, and you’ve undertaken previous studies at another institution, you may be eligible to apply for recognition of prior learning. UTS doesn’t determine recognition of prior learning until an offer of enrolment is accepted.

To see if you may be eligible to receive recognition of prior learning, speak with a Student Enrolment Advisor.

In some cases, applicants without a bachelor degree may be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate based on relevant work experience, which may articulate into the master's upon completion. However, each course has its own entry requirements. Please view the relevant course page for entry requirements or speak with a Student Enrolment Advisor to discuss your options.
