What you will study
The UTS Online Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence comprises four subjects (24 credit points) and can be completed in just eight months.
You will study the following subjects:
- Data Visualisation and Visual Analytics (6CP)
- Data Ethics and Regulation (6CP)
- Machine Learning (6CP)
- Artificial Intelligence for Enterprises (6CP)
Upon successful completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to enrol into the Master of Technology Management.

Course information
To gain entry into the Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Management, applicants must have the following academic qualification and professional experience.
Pathway 1
Completed Bachelor's degree (or overseas equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Data Analytics, Software Engineering or others comparable to Field of Education (FoE) 02 Information Technology; or one of the following in a relevant field:
- Completed Master's degree; or
- Completed Graduate Diploma; or
- Completed Graduate Certificate; or
- Completed Doctorate or Masters (Research or Coursework); or
- Incomplete coursework Doctorate; or
- Incomplete coursework Masters (1 year and above).
Additional Requirements
In addition to the outlined qualifications, applicants must have at least one year full-time (or equivalent) experience in a related role to the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma (or alternative experience through their contributions to organisations and/or communities and/or start-ups and/or entrepreneurship may be considered). For those applicants interested in the masters who do not meet the additional requirements for admission, this is an alternative entry point.
This will be supported by submission of:
- A CV, electronic portfolio or professional profile outlining work experience, the dates of employment and position(s) held within the organisation.
Assessment of other criteria:
- Demonstrates experience in a technology or enterprise role related to artificial intelligence demonstrating work integrated learning and contextualisation of academic qualifications.

Pathway 2
Applicants who do not meet the academic qualification requirements for admission, but have professional practice (three-year minimum) and a general capacity to undertake tertiary education may be considered.
This will be supported by submission of:
- A CV, electronic portfolio or professional profile outlining work experience, the dates of employment and position(s) held within the organisation.
Assessment of other criteria:
- Demonstrates experience in a technology or enterprise role related to artificial intelligence, demonstrating skills of assumed prior knowledge required for the relevant course.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee an offer of a place.
Note: Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Management may use the successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Technology Management as a pathway, provided they meet the specific entry requirements.

The English proficiency requirement for local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper-based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet-based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.
