Applicants with teacher education qualifications may be eligible to gain credit for four subjects (24 credit points) and complete the degree in only eight subjects. Refer to the Recognition of Prior Learning section for further information.

Flexible course options
The Master of Education (Learning and Leadership) comprises 12 online subjects (72 credit points (CP) in total).
Students who complete the Graduate Certificate in Education (Learning and Leadership) or the Graduate Certificate in Organisational and Workplace Learning may qualify to advance into the Master’s degree, requiring only eight additional subjects to complete the degree.
Applicants with teacher education qualifications may be eligible to gain credit for four subjects (24 credit points) and complete the Masters in only eight subjects. Refer to the Recognition of Prior Learning section for further information.

Entry requirements
To gain entry into the Master of Education (Learning and Leadership), applicants must have a completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, AND minimum of 2 years full-time or equivalent part-time, relevant professional work experience.
Relevant professional work experience must be in one of the following OSCA groups/codes:
- 01 Managers
- 02 Professional
- 03 Technicians and Trades Workers
- 04 Community and Personal Service Workers
- 05 Clerical and Administrative Workers
- 06 Sales Workers
Note: Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements for the Masters may use the successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Education (Learning and Leadership) or the Graduate Certificate in Organisational and Workplace Learning and use successful completion of the Graduate Certificate as a pathway to the Masters.
Supporting documentation to be submitted with the application
For applicants who need to demonstrate professional work experience:
- A 'Statement of Service' provided by the employer
- A completed 'UTS statement of service’ signed by the employer
- A statutory declaration confirming professional work experience (for Australian Residents only)
- An official letter from the applicant’s accountant or solicitor on their company letterhead confirming the applicant’s professional work experience or engagement with the business, duration of operations, and the nature of the business
- A business certificate of registration in original language and English (e.g. provision of ASIC documentation or ABN or similar documentation for Australian Businesses)
