The Graduate Certificate in Property Development is a foundation course and provides a pathway to studying the Master of Property Development.

Course information
Entry requirements
- Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification.
OR
- Applicants who do not satisfy the academic requirements may be considered on the ability to demonstrate equivalency through a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience*, as listed below:
- Qualified tradespeople (e.g. electricians, carpenters, plumbers, and builders)
- Licensed property agent NSW Class 1 licence with either an active or expired license (e.g. Real Estate Agent, Strata Managing Agent) or equivalent in other states, with experience across all aspects of real estate business, OR
- Individuals actively working or worked in the Built Environment at Managerial Level
Applicants must provide:
- Curriculum Vitae AND Statement of service in one of the following formats:
- A 'Statement of Service' provided by the employer
- A completed 'UTS statement of service’ signed by the employer
- A statutory declaration confirming work experience (for Australian Residents only)
- An official letter from the applicant’s accountant or solicitor on their company letterhead confirming the applicant’s work experience or engagement with the business, duration of operations, and the nature of the business
- A business certificate of registration in original language and English (e.g. provision of ASIC documentation or ABN or similar documentation for Australian Businesses)
For applicants who need to demonstrate interest in the course:
- Personal statement (300 words) outlining reasons for studying the Graduate Certificate in Property Development and demonstrating an understanding of the related industry.
*Work experience is not restricted to Australia. It can be for anywhere in the world within the relevant cognate field.

Note: Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements for the Master of Property Development may use the successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Property Development as a pathway, provided they meet the specific entry requirements.
English language requirements apply to both international and domestic students. Please refer to the UTS English language requirements for further information on how to satisfy the requirements for the course/s.
The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.5; or TOEFL: internet-based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 24; or AE6: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 overall with a writing score of 58; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 overall with a writing score of 176.
